Ilaria wears the hat of Operations Manager at Empower to Cook, linking the dots of the various projects and coordinating the opening of Empower to Cook’s new Community Kitchen.
Ilaria loves working on food projects, looking for ethical ways to nourish ourselves, others and the planet. She blends a background in philosophy and storytelling with a very visceral love for food.
Before joining Empower to Cook, she was the Managing Director of a community based and plant centred café in London. In 2018, she wrote “The Elephant’s Secret Kitchen”, a designer cookbook about sustainable eating published by University of the Arts London. This was shortlisted for British Book Awards 2019.
Her background are an MA in Philosophy of Culture, researching storytelling and identity, followed by a few years spent with a storytelling company in Rome.
